I’ve been using the Beeper chat consolidation app since I learned about it shortly before it blew up in tech news. It helps me in a couple of ways. It enables me to use Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Discord direct messaging on my phone without having any of those apps installed. And it allows me to easily get Signal and WhatsApp messages across multiple devices, despite both services’ limited multidevice support.

You’ve likely seen many blog posts about AI agent coding/vibecoding where the author talks about all the wonderful things agents can now do supported by vague anecdata, how agents will lead to the atrophy of programming skills, how agents impugn the sovereignty of the human soul, etc etc. This is NOT one of those posts. You’ve been warned.
The obvious lesson is: always provide your agents with design hints and extensive documentation about what they are going to do. Such documentation can be obtained by the agent itself. And, also, make sure the agent has a markdown file with the rules of how to perform the coding tasks, and a trace of what it is doing, that is updated and read again quite often.
