When you test a module, especially when you use TDD to drive the design of the code, you shouldn’t test classes or functions in isolation. Going “too low” with the unit tests (class by class, method by method) takes away almost all “Characteristics of good tests” (as described above). Such a test suite exhibits an excessive usage of a mocking framework (and it’s a sign of a bad test suite; probably a large number of tests only check that method A invokes method B).
